This gem of a coffee: its complexity takes you through a tasting journey. Its balance and cleanliness mean that one aspect is never too overpowering. This coffee ain’t your average cup a joe.
Finca Los Pinos has been owned since 2008 by Mr Jorge Antonio Arboleda. It has 8 hectares in total, 4 of which are planted with coffee, more specifically with Caturra Chriroso. This name hails from the tree’s crispy looking leaves as a result of the shade cast by the numerous banana, plantain & fruit trees scattered across the farm. Furthermore, this lot was entered into the National competition: “Colombia land of diversity”, which pits over 1,100 individual lots against each other – hailing from the 12 different coffee states. The 5 competition categories were Acidity, Body, Softness, Balance and Exoticness. Not only did it come first on Exotic-ness, but it also surpassed all the others in Softness and came 2nd in the body! We think this award-winning coffee is worth every cent, but we will let you make your own mind up!
